Reaction to Michelle Obama saying, "For the first time, I am proud of my country"?
| Damn straight, America has been wallowing far too long | |
| Eh, not the most appropriate thing to say | |
| Outrageous, she and her husband have no place representing me | |
| Didn't care for the comment, and spouses have no place in the campaign | |

My Take by LordDilly
The interesting thing about this is that Obama has gotten huffy about people making hay over Michelle’s comments. Even though his side made mucho hay over comments Bill Clinton made stumping for Hillary. Double standard anyone? Here’s my take: families should be off limits during political campaigns — until they begin running their mouths in an official campaign capacity.

Some day she may hit it big and make the cover of the New Yorker!
Shouldn't that mean Michelle is proud of Bush? by VnutZ
So a question for all those that agree with Michelle Obama’s statement that, "For the first time, I am proud of my country", I have to ask you – why now?
Obama is not the president and isn’t doing anything significantly overt to affect the nation at this moment. So if you’re proud now, it really has nothing to do with him. It’s not the current democratic congress since only 11% of America has any confidence in them.
So what is happening right now that suddenly makes you proud to be an American? Chronologically, it would seem to me that a statement like that is in support of the current administration, eh?
