The most you would amputate for $1 million?

My wife already hates my feet, so I think I could lose my pinky toes and still keep her around. Amputate any more than that and I'd be hard pressed to replace her with someone who didn't just want a piece of my wallet (and someone who was as funny).

Let's be clear, though - I am still very protective of my toilet seat.

My initial response was ewww but after some consideration I decided that losing a couple of "pinky toes" would be worth going into early retirement (or at least a change in career). Lets face it, even putting the money in an investment account accruing 3% APR that would be $30k a year for sitting on your duff.

Not sure I would give more than a couple of toes however - out of the other options, I've become rather attached to my pinky fingers (those shift keys just don't work well without them) ditto thumbs (damn space bar). While I'm not overly fond of my feet in general, I do rather enjoy having my toes for picking things up off the floor :)

Thumbs? For a million bucks? No way! Are these people already paralized?
