Surprised by Jackson :: NR7 :: Show
I voted and then looked at the results. Sometimes it is heartwarming to see us agreeing on something. It was a hard decision for me deciding between Legolas and Gimli, as they seem to fill the exact same purpose in the books (look, we can be friends).

You guys make me feel old. All I see there is a lame children’s fantasy.
What About Gandalf by Bortnyk :: NR5 :: Show
I had to vote for Gandalf. Before everyone goes insane, let me mitigate that by saying I have always found him to be the most dissapointing. For instance, at the battle for Minas Tirith Gandalf was running around with his staff and sword. Yes, he was effective with those, but was that a good use for a wizard? Shouldn’t he have been dooming on the masses of humanoids arrayed before the city? He magicked the Balrog fairly well, so why no spectacular rain of fire and brimstone at the siege? I guess dissapointing or over rated would be a better way to put it; still, Gandalf gets my vote. His performance in the latte rpart of the trilogy has always annoyed me.

Those who people don’t see as useless characters are the most marketed ones on school supplies and children’s T-Shirts.
