The Christ Redeemer? by markmcb

I mean c’mon. It’s stunning and all, but not really wondrous. It’s hard to understand how an ancient pyramid built by thousands of slaves in the desert didn’t even make the list but a 1931 statue did. Just goes to show what you get from popular vote.

Future Wonders? by gnifyus

When it is finished I think the Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota might someday qualify as a wonder of the world due its history and the sheer will of Korczak Ziolkowski who started it. (He would go up alone with a shovel, pick-ax and wheelbarrow everyday to work on it.) It’s so large, a bulldozer can be driven out onto what will be the pointing finger shown in the scale model in the foreground of the picture.

Christ Redeemer by Anonymous

maybe its now such a wonder because they are "wondering" where the hell all the Christians went.
