How could you vote for anything except the lightsaber?! Lightsabers are by FAR the coolest. By far...

Who would win in this fight: the Sunnis of Iraq armed with vibroblades vs. the Shia carrying lightsabers?

One in a million by Xtremegene :: NR5

Hmm, I still go for the Photon Torp. What other of those weapons can destroy an object 500000000x its size/mass (Good bye Death Star I).

As for the lightsaber, I think the fact that everyone likes it (or Jedi) so much that the entire reason why it was cool, in the movies at least, was that it was rare. Besides, just having a lightsaber while being unexperienced means you're as likely to slice off one of your own appendages as your opponent's.

BFG - only played the original Doom a long time ago...not that much into FPS' I'm afraid.

Tron Anyone? by Liz_Miracle :: NR5

I voted for the lightsaber, but only because disk was not an option.

Lightsaber all the way......well because I don't know what that other crap is. Where the hell did they come from? Guess I'm too cool to know.

Ray Gun - write in vote by kflgilbert :: NR0

No weapon on this poll could EVER be more exciting than the good ole Ray Gun. The guns were made and sold from roughly 1930 to the mid 60's. My favorite was the tin litho sparkers of the 1950's. They were at once whimsical and zany - frightening and fabulous. The ray gun's hey day paralleled the futility of the cold war in the 50's. The Red scare was in full swing. But make no mistake, the Ray gun was needed to protect oneself from invaders, who came in silver disk space ships from out of the dark unknown of the mysterious cosmos.

Iraqi WMD by Anonymous :: NR0

I personally had to vote lightsaber because although Iraqi WMD is fictional, Science fiction has some bases in the theoretical world of science. Iraqi WMD could be more suitably catagozied as fantasy.
