Do you text while driving?
|
| Guilty - I devote too much attention off the road. | |
| Yeah - but I can do it without looking. | |
| Sure - no different than eating, make-up or playing with stereo. | |
| No - but I do still talk on the cell. | |
| No - I resist all distractions. | |

Where’s the, still don’t have a cell phone option?
Yep there’s a few of us that still do not have a cell phone. Never needed one and therefore haven’t picked one up yet. Although I’m sure someday there may come a time when there are no payphones, or people with land lines, or my boss makes me get one. Even then “they” can’t make me turn it on!
I like having the freedom from constant contact and having ol’school fun in the car!!!
Texting while driving is to dangerous! by smcbride :: NR5 :: Show
That’s why I have the iPhone, because working on my Epic Pet Wars skill level helps the drive time pass during my 50 mile commute, and is much safer than texting. Is writing a Omninerd response or comment consider texting? “I didn’t think so, only 40 more miles and I be at work!” “Be safe, I got to go must check something out on You Tube before I get to the really heavy traffic.”

So sad to admit it, but I do text and drive. I only do it on streets I know really well. I did once on I-95 and it scared the buhgeezes out of me. I’m an EMT in my spare time and I know how bad car accidents can be and I have seen the results of what happens when people devote time to doing “other stuff” while driving…..and yes, I do it too! The worst part is, it’s usually ambulance corps business I’m taking care of while texting and driving! I DO NOT however, text or talk and drive the ambulance. That’s just dumb. I guess it’s all dunb. I have some thinking to do here. Nothing’s as important as someone else’s life, right? We hada pedestrian struck and killed in our town yesterday….wonder if the driver was texting and driving. That’s it! I’m done! Not doing it anymore…..
I’m a true hypocrite!

At least people who text while driving are likely to remove themselves from the human gene pool, thereby helping the next generation to be more sensible.
