Windows Browser Competition

Newspaper current event by VnutZ on 29 March 2008, tagged as internet, web browser, and computing

Despite the large number of web browsers that exist across the Internet, Windows users pretty much stick to either Internet Explorer or Firefox. As Apple continues to make strides across the computing scene, it quietly included an upgraded 3.1 version of Safari to Windows users through an iTunes update. While the first Safari offering on Windows was largely criticized as a complete failure, Apple's latest version now has many considering Safari as serious competitor in the browser market. Safari offers users one of the "truest" web experiences according to recognized standards, by sporting the second best ACID3 compliance score with a 75. (Its developer build is capable of scoring 98 second only to Opera's 100.)
