The Joy of Cycling

Newspaper

current event by markmcb on 27 May 2005, tagged as fitnessnutrition

Ryan Kistner has written an article for anyone who may be interested in the sport of cycling, but has never gotten any farther than walking past a bike shop and thinking, "Hmm, that bike looks cool." His article will walk you through the steps necessary to choose, purchase, maintain, and ride a road bike. Though he hasn't yet won the Tour de France, Ryan has ridden in several 100-mile races, trained in the mountainous city of Colorado Springs, and spent more time on a bike than he has in a car in recent years. His insight into the sport should prove useful for anyone looking to start cycling as a hobby, for exercise, or even as a competitive sport.
