The Call of McMillan

Newspaper

current event by willwaddell on 24 June 2007, tagged as creativewriting

OmniNerd has it all - physics, politics, religion, history, technology, and now, a bloodthirsty dachshund sadly only able to gum its victims. This, the next in Nick Dilmore's White Trash Odyssey series, takes us deeper (perhaps too deep) into the McMillan family of Lemon, PA. With descriptions of living near the "Poop Pile," Leaving Lemon: Part II may force you to reconsider your narrow definition of humanity, but, then again, it also may give you hope that man can indeed survive that nuclear holocaust. So, go straight on past the Teakettle Tavern, turn before you get to Shep's Cheese factory, and plant yourself for a moment amid the economically blighted, but comedically fertile world of clan McMillan. Watch out for the Poop Pile.
