Pagans have vowed to invoke their arcane arts to wash away a huge picture of TV's favorite dad and upcoming movie star, Homer Simpson. A giant version of Homer brandishing a donut has been painted next to the famous Cerne Abbas giant, a 180 foot man carved into a hillside in Dorset, England and believed by pagans to be a depiction of Iron Age fertility. Angered by what they say is a "disrespectful" stunt, the Pagan Federation said that they will "do some rain magic to bring the rain and wash it away." The giant Homer was painted with water-based biodegradable paint and was a publicity stunt by a film company. The Cerne Abbas giant dates back only to the 17th century, and speculation has arisen that it was actually done as a parody figure of Oliver Cromwell.

Simpsons movie disappointing by Brandon :: NR9 :: Show
I have to say that despite being a huge Simpsons fan and the hilarity of this publicity stunt and the movie previews, I was disappointed in the Simpsons movie. The humor seemed to forgo the intelligence used at times to appeal to adults on the TV show and replace it with innuendo and shock humor - a big step back, in my opinion.
