"The Iranian nation favors talks but it won't negotiate over its definite and legal nuclear rights. They (world powers) have to know this," quipped Ahmadinejad, "From our point of view, Iran's nuclear issue has been closed. The fact that these powers are screaming tells us the case is closed. This is a great victory for the Islamic Republic of Iran." According to French diplomats in Iran, the country is activating its centrifuges for the final stage of uranium enrichment. French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner continues his recent rhetoric that the world cannot wait for Iran to become a nuclear power and is pressing UN members to augment the present sanctions.
"I have, of course, said that all options are on the table, but I made a pledge to the American people that we will work diplomatically to solve the problem," Bush said, "We will work in ways that we can to make it clear that (Iran) should not have the know-how on how to make a weapon because of the great threats to peace in the world ... with their stated objective which is the destruction of Israel."
