OmniNerd Wikipedia Page

Newspaper

current event by Brandon on 29 June 2005, tagged as omninerdnews

OmniNerd now has its own page on the popular free encyclopedia, Wikipedia. The site is small (especially with respect to OmniNerd's extensive wisdom), but it is only the beginning.

The good news is this site can be edited - by anyone. Therefore, we encourage all O-Nerd readers out there to add high-quality, unbiased, informative content to the OmniNerd Wikipedia Page.

More information on Wikipedia and editing its pages can be found on the Wikipedia entry on itself.

I hope the Wiki servers don't start smoking with this newly added content. It's probably the sweetest wiki page I've ever seen. :-)

Some suggestions by Brandon :: NR9

I don't know how many O-nerd readers are familiar with Wikipedia (WP) edits, but I've found it best to register an account before editing. Although anonymous edits are allowed, a registered user has more credibility.

Also, those who wish to edit should check out similar WP sites (e.g., Slashdot WP Page) to get ideas. Such sites also can answer questions on how to use WP's code (which is very intuitive).

In addition to adding content to the O-nerd WP site, crusaders may want to keep their eyes out for valid and justified places to link to the OmniNerd WP page from other WP pages.

Lastly, I suggest taking the time to include high-quality content; we want it to reflect the total sweetness of OmniNerd! Roll up!
