Google has another useful tool for those trying to find easier ways to organize and display relevant information from the Internet (c). Although no name could be found, it is essentially a Google internet portal that allows you to display not only Google developed internet sources, but any RSS feed that you find. Once the items are on the page, they can be re-arranged by dragging them around the screen.
Once this page is set up, it would be easy to add it to a Windows desktop as a web object, and have links to your favorite areas displayed at all times, as a part of your desktop. Could Microsoft's promises of World Domination have a rival as Google attempts to index all known information?
My office IT people recently added gmail.com to the list of internet banned sites, leaving me unable to access my personal email from work. Even Outlook is unable to import the email via POP access. However, I can catch a glimpse of my personal email status by looking at my Google internet portal page. Of course, I have access to only very limited information, and can reply to none of it, but it's the only way I've found to get any info from behind this company block.
You could always set your gmail account to forward to another account that is not banned.

Speaking of Google by Brandon :: NR9 :: on 27 September 2005
The latest upgrade for the Firefox Google Toolbar includes a spell check to "check spelling of text you type on any web form in English." I've found it to be perfect for checking my O-Nerd posts, comments and articles.
The same toolbar is available for the more popular but lesser browser.

Hopefully they add a feature that will disallow admins from adding other then minor grammatical and structural edits such as the copywrite link you added to my newspost.
