Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch has announced plans to make News Corporation completely carbon neutral by 2010. However, just reducing his company's emissions is not the only thing on the agenda; he also is making a move to intersperse climate messaging via the content of his many media holdings which include Fox News, 20th Century Fox, HarperCollins and MySpace.com along with many international media outlets. He is quoted as saying, "We want to inspire people to change their behavior."
In an interview with Grist magazine, Murdoch also warns a willingness to address climate change will be a "litmus test" in his political support and giving.
I wonder if Murdoch is going to keep flying jets around the world
or is he going to go green himself? Hard to beat a good example.
But I won't complain about anything he does in trying to do good.
Does NO good in always being against someone. Go Murdoch!
Murdoch and the head of NASA should have a celebrity death match about global warming. It'd be like a trial by combat from teh Middle Ages. Whoever wins was right about climate change.
