A new study by the Pew Research Center shows that listeners of Rush Limbaugh, the popular conservative radio talk show host, have a greater incidence of 'high knowledge' than any other news outlet except for the Weekly Standard/New Republic. Rush Limbaugh listeners outscored partakers of the New Yorker and National Public Radio in the Pew survey which sought to establish which audience is most informed. Respondents were assessed based on their responses to three questions: 1) Which party has a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives? 2) What is the name of the current U.S. Secretary of State? 3) What is the name of the president of Russia?
And just in case O-Nerd users get asked next time ... Answers: Republicans, Condoleezza Rice, Vladimir Putin

Ignorant Masses by jmarkdavison :: NR6 :: on 03 August 2006
But I thought Limbaugh's audience was a bunch of ignorant, heartless right-wingers!
It is amusing to note that NPR listeners scored nine percentage points lower than Dittoheads.
I imagine most NPR listeners answered the questions thusly (in Katharine Hepburn voice):
1. We have two pahties?
2. Madeline Albright- she's the first woman, don'cha know!
3. That lovely Michael (sic) Gorbachev. He's such a statesman. Won the Cold War, don'cha know...can I offer you a glahs of sherry?

The study only refutes the view that they are ignorant. They could still be heartless right-wingers.
