Life's Greatest Miracle

Newspaper

current event by AdamWysokinski on 28 September 2005, tagged as medical

The birth of life, from embryo to newborn, was studied week-by-week by Lennart Nilsson. This microphotography chronicle was published in 1974 as the Emmy award-winning television program 'Life's Greatest Miracle.' All of you who missed the movie, may watch it here. It's amazing that a movie made 31 years ago may look as good as Microcosmos or Genesis. Highly recommended, breathtaking movie.

And to think, this program was made possible by viewers like you. And a grant by some foundation. Good old PBS, you got to love 'em.

Nice post. I agree that it really is a phenomenal movie.
