Global Cooling?

Newspaper current event by ldsudduth on 27 February 2008, tagged as climate, global warming, greenhouse gases, and al gore

According to an article on The Daily Tech, the period from Jan 2007 to Jan 2008 experienced a drop in global temperature. Another source shows temperature fluctuations of as much as -.75C.

2008 may already be showing the effects. It snowed for the first time in recorded history in Baghdad. North America, China, Siberia and Mongolia have the most snowfall since 1966, and other places in the U.S. and the world have had record low temperatures. The article is careful to point out this data does not refute carbon dioxide acting to warm the planet, but the data also shows other factors can influence the global temperature.

I know I'm way too cold. by Michael :: NR4 :: on 28 February 2008

I set a pile of old tires on fire to help warm the neighborhood.

We've had an incredibly wet couple months here in the mid country and I figure that worked to keep the temperature up a couple degrees. Given all that we've still set some records for cold.

I'm more than a little fed up with the dogmatic, Catholic Church Inquisitor approach of both sides to the Global Warming phenomena. It's a chart! Just let me look at some raw numbers and testing procedure. (I'm done ranting now.)

(No I'm not) Why do people choose "sides" to a weather chart!?!?!?!

Why do people choose "sides" to a weather chart!?!?!?!

To raise taxes, institute greater government oversight on the individual, reduce individual liberty, institute population controls, inhibit the economic growth of third world nations... I could go on. Don't mistake cynical politics for actual science.
