GM Makes Mr. Fusion

In 1985, Doc Brown and Marty McFly traveled Back to the Future in a DeLorean powered by the Mr. Fusion trash reactor. Twenty-three years later, General Motors is partnering with Coskata to develop a system to produce bio-fuel from waste. It's becoming more commonly accepted that corn is not the miracle source for ethanol production and researchers have sought alternate means of making the fuel. The Coskata plant should be in production by the 4th quarter of 2008 converting garbage to fuel with a 7.7x return on energy along with an 84% reduction of CO2 emissions over gasoline production.
