Chinese Public Push for Anti-West Boycott

The global protests against China regarding Tibet have created a surging nationalism amongst Chinese citizens. In a movement driven largely via the Internet, the Chinese have launched a grass-roots endeavor to boycott western products and businesses. The anger stems not only from the global public slamming of China's policy on Tibet but also from the portrayal of China through the media. Even the Chinese in Los Angeles protested outside the CNN network bureau following a newscast in which Jack Cafferty described the Chinese government as thugs and goons.
