Patrick and Susan Karolewski of Leipzig, Germany are brother and sister - and lovers. Patrick, who is 30 years old, was adopted as a child and did not meet his biological family until he was 23. After the death of his mother, he and his sister, Susan, who is presently 23, fell in love. They have since lived together for six years and parented four children, three of which have been taken by authorities and placed with foster care because incest is a criminal offense in Germany. Patrick has already served a two-year sentence and another jail term is looming if the Karolewskis are not successful in their fight to overturn the law.
The typical objective aversion to incest centers on genetics considerations. Professor Juergen Kunze, a geneticist at Berlin's Charite Hospital, claimed, "the law is here for a good reason ... When siblings have children, there is a 50% chance that the child will be disabled." To this, Patrick replied, "People have said that our children are disabled, but that is wrong. They are not disabled. ... Eric, our eldest child, has epilepsy, but he was born two months premature, he also has learning difficulties. Our other daughter, Sarah, has special needs."
According to the couple's lawyer, "The law against incest is based on very old moral principles. The law was abolished in France, it's about time it should be scrapped here in Germany as well."
This is it. When you shine a light down at the end of the path of moral relativism, this is exactly the kind of thing you will find. “How did we get here?
“I don’t know; we were just sort of going along not paying attention, and here we are.”
Sheep that nibbled themselves lost.
Morals principles don’t have an expiration date, do they?
If we can stop having people having children because those children are likely to be disabled, doesn't that imply disabled people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce?
Sounds like an unpopular proposition to me...
People, people....people. Are we serious here? We can't even agree that doing the nasty with your sister makes the nasty that much more nasty and that no one should do it - EVER! Now I know the liberal world is intent on watching our society get flushed down the toilet, but this is just whiggling the handle.
Congratulations. Our society is even more pathetic than I had thought. Pretty soon you people will be banging goats.
%^&* Your Sister, and Nothing Good Can Come Of It. by LordDilly :: NR8 :: Show
""The law against incest is based on very old moral principles." Well, there you have it. Of course, so are laws against murder and theft, but such is the way of the new world. Morality is out the window, to be replaced by Political Correctness. There is no more wrong or right, just classes of victims who are immune from criticism. Seriously, what's next? Inter-species marriage? Also, I love the brother's quote: "People have said that our children are disabled, but that is wrong. They are not disabled. ... Eric, our eldest child, has epilepsy, but he was born two months premature, he also has learning difficulties. Our other daughter, Sarah, has special needs." So, they aren't disabled, except for the disabilities, which of course have nothing to do with %^&*ing his sister. I'm almost willing to bet the German law will be overturned. Decline of Western Civilization, indeed. Also, what the hell is wrong with the Germans? (ala South Park the Movie)
