In an unscientific poll, blogger Brian Auer concludes that 60% of Photoshop users are software pirates. Despite the non-binding numbers in his poll, the popular image editing platform is widely pirated for various reasons. Adobe's latest move, however, may stem much of that piracy with the release of Adobe Photoshop Express. Not only is it free, but the application is Adobe's maiden product to be made available as SaaS (Software as a Service) and is cross-platform compatible through any web browser supporting Adobe Flash. There was initial hesitation to use the service when users noted the EULA granting Adobe royalty free use of images, but there has since been an agreement to remove the offending clause.
