A Philosophical Attempt

So here is my latest philosophical endeavor. I am not overly comfortable with this particular academic medium, but I figured I would give it a try anyway. If you read this short piece you will quickly realize that this is still a work in progress. I certainly have not covered all the bases and that is one of the reasons that I am posting this article in its inchoate form. I hope that I can benefit from an ensuing discussion, if there is one.

I believe that this treatise is interesting, but not complete. I look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on the matter. Oh, and this is the first article that I formatted into XML with minimal help from Mark. Because of that there may be some horrible mistakes that I haven't noticed. If you find one, please let me know so I can fix it. Well, enjoy, if you are so inclined.
