I have a problem with that line of thinking. If you don’t believe in the doctrine of X, you’re not X. At that point you are some derivative of X. And that really draws to question, if you don’t believe the alleged word-of-god as defined in the doctrine of X, then what is the basis of your belief unless you are a prophet yourself? If nothing but “gut feeling” … then you really have to admit you’re just believing in personal fantasy.
This comment continues, read the rest on OmniNerd.
In the article "Wind Powered Car Outpaces Wind," NastyPrincess wrote:

From the original articles – the wind does turn the prop. The vehicle is essentially powered by three sails oriented such that they are equivalent to a sailboat tacking in the wind. The example image shows the reduction of the tacking course into a narrow axle turns that sail into a propellor. The propellor is powered by the wind and therefore always gets the benefit of a tacked orientation in order to drive the wheels. The article itself describes the torque generated by the prop and it’s transfer of power to the wheels.

The only figures that could claim to demonstrate a track record would be national security advisors or maybe some senators/congressmen on intelligence oversight committees.

I am originally from Charleston, SC and most of my family still lives there. I have 2 family members that BELIEVE that Obama is the Antichrist!!! They believe that there is going to be a race war in this country, they still use the “N”-word and they are storing food with the belief that the End Times are coming. It’s terrifying and there’s no talking them out of it. It’s also terrifying that they believe that I will be going to hell and they have both told me so. In the article "Practical Application of States Rights," NastyPrincess wrote:

The solution to all this is simple. We need to adhere to the concept of “Separation of Church and State” and stop the descrimination that has been allowed to rage on for entirely too long in this country. There is no room in our constitution for religious belief when taxes are concerned. There is no reason, other than twisted religious belief, for any two people not to be granted the same rights of marriage that my husband and I have been granted.
This comment continues, read the rest on OmniNerd.

I find it unfair that I am unable to collect unemployment while I pursue a new job. The situation is simple, I was a full time employee for two years and seven months as an Activities Coordinator for senior citizens at a county based facility. For that entire period, I put my heart and soul into the work to make sure the elderly were kept in good spirits and actively engaged both mentally and physically. I paid my taxes back into the system. My job even consisted of gainfully utilizing people on benefits from the state – ranging from food stamps, unemployment, etc. There were good people getting back on their feet through those programs, but there were plenty of low-lifes simply mooching perpetually off the system that amounted to nothing and will continue to amount to nothing.
This article continues, read the rest on OmniNerd.
Sure there are some really really really poor places in the US and yes, we should do things to make our own country better and greater. But who are we if we don’t recognize how hard we had to fight to get where we are now in 100 years…..and not to mention….look at where we’re all from!
