Considering I’m the type of guy who wants to pimp-slap Eminem for calling himself a “soldier” when he’s just a douche, refuses to watch “Green Zone” because it’s yet another leftist Hollywood fantasy that tries to get you cheering for the deaths of the “bad” American soldiers after “hero” Matt Damon — this is much ado about nothing. The single player mode — the one with a story to tell — is entirely from the point of view of Tier 1 Operators in Afghanistan. You can only “play” as Taliban in the multilayer, and you can’t choose to be one, the game randomly selects one team or the other during matched. Like the Call of Duty games (how come no one cared that you could “play a Nazi! GASP!”) it’s just a way to differentiate one team from the other. Now, if the game takes the typical leftist Hollywood sucker-punch route like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 did, then yeah, I’ll be pissed. On the plus side, if this is news, then our economy must have recovered, people have jobs again, and the wars are over. Thank God for that.

Here’s the basic outline for actual immigration reform: high fence, wide gate. Before anything else, the border needs to be secure. Even talking about anything else without securing the border is like fixing the mast on a ship with a hole below the waterline.

Once the border is secure, legal immigration needs to be seriously reformed. For one, there are too many hoops to jump through and it costs way to much money. It basically encourages people to jump the border.

This law would be unnecessary IF the Federal Government actually did their job and secured the border. Simple as that. But the border is as porous as ever, and the Fed either just really REALLY just doesn’t give a damn or collectively thinks that an increase in murders and kidnappings in border states is worth it for cheap labor. Also, all of this would be moot if Mexico wasn’t practically a failed state.

We saw the EOD guys blow up anything that was suspicious — and I mean anything. The civilians on Slayer were uber paranoid about IEDs on camp, so much that they called in an old radio and an empty cardboard box. EOD blew them up. Some local turned in several hundred old mines in the back of a van on Irish outside Slayer and Victory. EOD blew up the van. Man, I loved those guys.

Before weighing in, I would like to know what context the scene is in. For those who have not played the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game, the opening sequence is a first person perspective cut scene, from the POV of a deposed president of an un-named Middle Eastern country. The player can move the camera and see what the character sees just before he is summarily executed. So my question is: is this what the COD: MW2 sequence is? A first person POV of the killing of civilians, from the eyes of a terrorist that the player doesn’t control? Or is it actual gameplay, where the player has infiltrated the terrorist group? If the player can kill civilians at will, will there be consequences later on in the game? Having played the other Infinity Ward versions of Call of Duty (2 and 4) I have faith that they know what they are doing in terms of both gameplay and narrative, and that whatever this scene turns out to be will not be gratuitous.

I agree. The problem is that too many in the GOP think that recent Democrat victories means that people want Democrat policies, and try to pass themselves off as Democrat-lite. Well, why get the “lite” version when you can get the real deal? Also, Republicans spent like drunken sailors when they were in power, violating their own “contract with America” that got them the reins of congress during the Clinton Years.

As much as people like to sneer at Sarah Palin, look at the policies she endorses (and put into effect as Governor of Alaska.) Fiscal responsibility, energy independence, smaller government. Common sense solutions to counter the Nanny-State-ism currently in vogue.

I call this more of an assembly than recipe because all of the “ingredients” are actually prepared foods. That, and it’s really easy.

To start you need:

• A slow cooker
• Two jars of Desert Pepper Trading Company’s Peach-Mango Salsa
• One can of your favorite brand tomato paste (I use Hunt’s)
• One jar/can of your favorite spaghetti sauce (I use Classico brand Marinara with plum tomatoes and olive oil)

Let me begin by pointing out that I have absolutely no solid idea what the hell I am doing. I had a plan and an idea, but generally I just made stuff up as I went along. Also, run and tell "the Authorities" as much as possible: "Some people think that if a large number of racist incidents are reported, this will reflect badly on the institution. In fact, the opposite is the case."
