I define religious faith as belief in a deity who is not an object of the believer's experience. I specify religious faith to exclude the mundane faith, prejudice and assumption which people must employ constantly to be able to deal with the world from this discussion. I would also exempt from this discussion anyone who is claiming direct experience of God [unless they can produce God for me directly, which I would find even more interesting than a good debate] as such a person would not hold ...
