It seems OmniNerd has maintained its PR6 … does this mean we’re better than the Washington Post now?

This is exactly my view. I am raising the BS flag on Google and their mysterious "oh-so-wonderful" anti-corporate "don’t be evil" corporate slogan. And I would also like to question the infatuation of most folks with Google and Apple. Don’t they see they are just corporations raking in loads of money?
As far as this particular Google situation – I’ve noticed the same situation with our websites – we ARE relevant, but Google apparently doesn’t think so. (we consequently pay up $7,000+ a month for adwords – I don’t mind it, but STOP saying you are the best search engine out there – I think this is a matter of perception – and I smell an overinflated Stock Price). Here’s Google’s predicament (imho) – and I would probably do the same if I were Google – if they rank you high for "organic listings" would you pay them to display Google AdWords?
Now, all you gullible people, STOP buying into clever marketing slogans. "Oh, we are so green." "Oh, we are THE anti-Microsoft!" "Oh, we are NOT like Wal*Mart"
But I have to admit this is clever – they take your money, and you feel good about it. Tip of the hat, Google, Apple, and the like :)

Wow – $7,000/month on AdWords! Are you also getting traffic from the organic search results? What market are you in?

The highly competitive travel market. we get some traffic from organic search, but we found the process to be lacking transperancy and google’s latest changes seemed to exclude a lot of legitimate sites.
My take on it: I should not be gaming the system. If I am relevant, I should be listed somewhere – if not, my time is better spent on advertising on Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and Microsoft AdCenter.
