OmniNerd Trademark Use Guidelines
Acceptable nominations of OmniNerd.com are "OmniNerd," "O-Nerd" or "OmniNerd dot com." All variations of the website's name are trademarks and property of OmniNerd.com.
OmniNerd's name and/or marks may not be used in any way that could state or imply an endorsement of a business, social, political, religious or economic movement, activity, program or group, or in advertising services. The only exception is when such is done by or with the express permission of OmniNerd Administration.
The OmniNerd logo is restricted from use on items which could be construed as official OmniNerd documents, publications, or advertisement except when such document or publication is used by the OmniNerd Administration for official site business. The OmniNerd logo may not be defaced, altered, overprinted, or dismantled in any manner.
OmniNerd marks are not to be associated with alcohol, tobacco, condoms, gambling products, items which could be used to maim or kill, or that could present a high liability exposure. For example, OmniNerd marks should not be used in conjunction with knives, guns, or cigarette lighters.
All licensees must use appropriate "TM" designation on products with OmniNerd marks on them. The "TM" should be placed under the mark, to the right, and should be smaller, so that it does not detract from the appearance of the OmniNerd mark.
Licensees must make their name(s) clearly apparent on the labeling of all products bearing OmniNerd marks.
Samples of each licensed product bearing OmniNerd marks must be submitted to the OmniNerd Administration for review and approval before they can be produced, reproduced or sold. All designs and modification of previously approved designs must be submitted to the OmniNerd Administration for review and approval, before such designs are produced, reproduced or sold.
OmniNerd marks will not be licensed for use in association with certain other mark(s), words or phrases that it deems to be in poor taste (e.g., the Playboy bunny, Coed Naked, profanity, ethnic/gender/religious slurs, etc.). Further, art that is in some way degrading or demeaning, or reflects poorly on the OmniNerd image, will not be approved.
Manufacturers wishing to create unique OmniNerd designs which they wish to reserve for their own use may not itself claim copyright to these designs, which are OmniNerd's trademarks regardless of the design. Copyright ownership must be attributed to OmniNerd as follows:
