You didn’t answer the question. “… in your heart would you look at them and think … no … freakin’ … way?” You can evaluate them after the fact for reasons to change your opinion. But knowing nothing more than they believe the extreme ridiculous what’s your kneejerk yes/no on such a candidate. When you answer that honestly, you’ll know how people feel on a devout Mormon candidate.

Sure, as ScottB analyzed, it’s possible to look at some of those Mormon candidates and say, “hey … that guy doesn’t seem to serious about it” or “that guy compartmentalizes it and doesn’t let it influence his policy at allever” and that could serve to set them up in the equation as to whether they stand a chance at beating the incumbent. But that’s the second peak at that point.
