But knowing nothing more than they believe the extreme ridiculous what’s your kneejerk yes/no on such a candidate. When you answer that honestly, you’ll know how people feel on a devout Mormon candidate.
Sure, as ScottB analyzed, it’s possible to look at some of those Mormon candidates and say, “hey … that guy doesn’t seem to serious about it” or “that guy compartmentalizes it and doesn’t let it influence his policy at all … ever” and that could serve to set them up in the equation as to whether they stand a chance at beating the incumbent.
