BBC is reporting a new approach to the cure of cancer using heat. The idea of using heat to treat certain illnesses has been used since ancient times and researchers now think it could be used against cancer due to the high success rate against testicular cancer. The temperature of testicular cells is a few degrees lower than the rest of the body and testicular cancer cells are weakened by the heat when they spread to other body parts. The weakened cell structure makes the cells more susceptible to cancer treatments such as radiation and chemotherapy.

While promising, further study is needed to confirm the theory. Some claim that other paths, such as biologically engineered white blood cells or bacteria, are more promising.
