Glenn Beck’s recent Restoring Honor rally was originally billed as a non-partisan, non-political tribute to civil rights and an homage to the troops. But in the end, it was just an ultra-conservative religious revival of mostly Tea Party followers that bordered on pure evangelism. It was such a load of horse-hockey that comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert were motivated by their followers to hold countering rallies – Restore Sanity and Keep Fear Alive. The comedians intend to occupy Washington DC on October 30th with their satirical pillorying of our domestic extremists.
