Given all the fixed sonar buoy surveillance systems scattered around the US coastline, this guy is taking a huge risk. He might only be able to skulk around in Cuban waters.

Today these attack boats are probably a greater risk to our carrier battle groups than they are to our ballistic missile boats.

I agree that Putin is a very dangerous fellow. We should not be surprised that he is using whatever capabiloity he has to keep some pressure on the USA.
