California is now following in the footsteps of Massachusetts in permitting gay marriage. Other states, like New Jersey, recognize homosexual unions from other states but do not yet permit the practice to originate. The Sunshine State takes Massachusetts’ freedom a step further by allowing out of state couples to wed in California. After the state’s supreme court removed the old ban, thousands of couple’s registered across the state leading many to speculate upwards of 100,000 couples may wed in the near future.
