I was wondering if you’d noticed any major cost differences for water with and without the system installed. In other words, were you paying more or less for water when you were watering your lawn manually. I would assume you paid more then as you most likely watered your lawn in daylight.
Just curious if there was a significant difference or not.
I thought Fig 4 made me look super-sweet. I mean, how many people can even lift a sprinkler head – much less do it with all sorts of dirt under their fingernails?
I didn’t last long watering manually, so it’s difficult to say how much of a difference it would make in the water bill. Also, the weather here in Houston is much different this summer than last. It rained here every day but 3 in June, 2004. In June 2005, I think it rained a total of 3 days.
If I had to guess, I wouldn’t think there would be a big difference in your water bill. You will save some water from evaporation, but you will also probably water more, as the typical manual waterer doesn’t do a thorough job.
