Well, Bush won today by a decent margin. When it was all said and done I was proud of Kerry for not dragging it out. He congratulated the president and gave his speech in a very honorable fashion. But what I found funny is that he said: "I did my best to express my vision and my hopes for America. We worked hard and we fought hard, and I wish that things had turned out a little differently. But in an American election, there are no losers, because whether or not our candidates are successful, the next morning we all wake up as Americans." I don’t know if that jumped out at anyone else, but it just seemed like more of the same to me. Did he (or Bush) really try his "best" to express the future of America, or did he try his best to win votes? I think the answer is obvious. Don’t get me wrong, I think what he said was right on the money. I just wish both candidates would have put their campaign money where their mouths are… in the interests of the people… in the interests of Americans. So I guess this is my advice to the next pair of candidates: Sincerely aim for the hearts and minds of the American people and the votes will come naturally. Hold each other to a higher standard by setting the standard first. Bring honor into the elections, don’t drag it along side you on your way out.

It’s a great day for people who still think morals matter and that America is a Christian nation. It was not as wide a margin as I predicted but I am proud of Americans standing up for their beliefs and beliefs in general. And the Congressional elections, particularly in the Senate, were a virtual Conservative Revolution. This Bush win cake and its icing—Tom Daschle losing—sends a clear message to Democrats: your liberal, Holywood, media-bias secularism is not what we believe. You may have the TV stations and the money but Michael Moore’s vote counts once, just like mine: we have the numbers. Bush did a lot of things wrong, but thanks to a weak challenger who had nothing more to offer than "I’m not Bush," W. gets 4 more years. I hope he’ll balance the budget first off.
