My friend Kelley and I were unable to see any and meteor activiy from my backyard in the Houston area. We did however get to enjoy a lovely crisp night with a cup of hot chocolate. We kept ourselves entertained by trying to remember the names of constellations. I didn’t get far past "The Big Dipper".
Same here! My friend Desiree and I drove well outside the Houston city limits (far west), had an open view of the sky and in two hours saw all of three meteors (which is about normal on any given night). Above was a beautiful and clear sky, would have been perfect for meteor watching. It was nice to sit outside in southeast Texas and not get devoured by mosquitoes!
Same here. We were camping on the East cost of North Carolina, but were not able to see anything due, I am guessing, to light pollution from the city of Wilmington.
Getting out of a warm sleeping bag at 11 was tough to do.
