I have a ton of respect for Israel. They don’t listen to the UN or to the hand-wringing, sniveling appeasers in the "international community." They put their security and the safety of their citizens above all else. They are going to kick down every door in Gaza until they find their soldier, dead or alive. The Palestinians have brought this upon themselves by electing to power a group whose stated aim is the destruction of Israel, and by allowing terrorists to live and operate within their territory.
We could learn a lot from Israel and use its example in Iraq and Afghanistan, in securing our southern border, and in more agressively investigating domestic terror. Israel would have jailed the New York Times editors before letting them publish a story that tipped off terrorists that the government is monitoring bank transactions.
When you see the photos tomorrow of a crying, frightened-looking Palestinian woman standing amid the rubble of her home, balance it against the unpublished but likely truth that two days ago she made dinner for a terrorist, or her husband knew something about the kidnapped Israeli soldier and didn’t report it, or a few months ago she voted for Hamas.
