I really don’t think there is all that much to worry about — put differently, I don’t think there is much new to worry about. This has been going on for quite some time; the regime has been persecuting the Church since coming to power. See here. But it has had little success in getting people to accept its potemkin church. They can’t suppress the truth. As Pope John Paul said over and over again, "be not afraid."
