Aperture vs iPhoto

It sounds like you used Aperture almost exclusively for local storage and meta management. Any particular reason iPhoto wouldn’t meet your bill on that?

Multiple libraries is probably the biggest. With my giant RAID storage the vaults feature is a nice option too. In general, whenever you’re using iPhoto and think “it’d be nice if it did …” there’s a good chance Aperture does it. Apple has a decent list of differences on their site.
