RE: CSRS Has Been Gone For 24 Years Already
Anyone who entered government service before January 1, 1987 are still covered by the classic program. While that’s 24 years ago—-It’s conceivable there are still employees left who are eligible; if they entered service at the age of 22 or 23—right after College. I’m only 48—had I taken a government job after the military, I would still be under the programs.

Americans love to trash their public servants. Its as if everyone believes that anyone who is any good should be working in private enterprise. It is a dishonour here to serve the people. Money making is the only noble motivation. Perhaps that is why we have such poor public services.
