RE: True follower of Christ
incapable of being moral without being a true Christian.
And that is the point—the Word of God tells me that you are not capable of being moral—-but even I a Christian is also not capable of being moral. Romans 3:10 " As it i written, There is no one righteous-no, not one".
BUT…as a Christian I think “Would it please the Father if I do X.” before I do X.
Perhaps you do not treat non-christian is a moral way so they don’t treat you in a moral way in return. If you are an asshole in real life and tells all non-christian they are immoral demon worshipers and going to hell….maybe that’s why…
I treat everyone identically—I treat non-Christians exactly as a Christian; with one exception: I won’t be a partner with them in any business venture and I wouldn’t consider dating or marrying one (were I single).
Matthew 7:12 is a corollary to 22:36-40, specifically ‘Love your Neighbor as you would Love yourself." that means you don’t put them ahead of yourself. I would not expect a Christian to put me ahead of God; there is no flaw in the philosophy. Likewise, I do not expect a non-Christian to put me ahead of God, because they don’t believe in Him.
That is an extremely narrow minded and discriminating comment from a fellow omninerd.
Nope, it’s a lifetime of experience speaking. Of course I trust no one, because I’ve been given no reason to trust them. On your other point— I have experienced more than a few MODERN minorities who express that sentiment you stated even now. I’ve heard it from all ranges of minorities too.
You aren’t going to see things from my point of view until you view me as your equal and not someone that is incapable of being moral without being a true Christian.
I don’t have any idea what you are talking about anymore. No I have not stolen anything. Now you are just throwing random accusation and assumptions about non-Christians.
Your point of view is from a flawed self-loving point of view; so yes I don’t see things from your point of view. You say that non-Christians can be moral, but I countered with several ‘little things’ that non-Christians do; such as lying (little ‘white lies’ for example), taking property from the office or eating in the produce aisle at the store without paying for it. Does that mean Christians don’t? Nope..but a Christian should stop to think ‘Will this please the Father if I do it.’ before we do anything.
Why are you diverting the argument towards atheists? I just said “Non-christian”
Same thing.

You won’t get anywhere with that Eye of … twit Dwayne. He told me once that he is a teenager who gets his kicks from winding people up on Omninerd. I believed him because his comments are so child-like.
Your comment that you trust no one interests me in relation to the do unto others.. admonition.
Should a Christian have such distrust that he would not do business with a non-christian.
That sounds medieval to me, and it also means that you would wish that others treat you in the same way and shun your business unless you demonstrate your Christianity to them.
Not exactly faith, hope and charity?
What about the Good Samaritan?

You just don’t understand what it means to love other people.
Your point of view is from a flawed self-loving point of view
It’s not just about someone loving me, it’s about me loving someone as well. It is called a relationship. If you have a really good one you will know. Jesus knew…but modern Christians don’t.
By the way, remember to “go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor” before you die.
Talking to you is like playing a guitar to a cow……
