Conversation graphs
I think increased usage of the conversation to be really neat. I like how they provide you with the “shape” of the conversation, and tell how just how deep a conversation really goes. What do you use to make them? Something like graphviz?

As part of the server upgrade, the rackspace beneath the hardware houses a midget with a drawing stylus. Every few minutes he updates the conversation graphs and is rewarded with a pellet of food.

There’s also something pleasingly “meta” about the fact that the front page now has a conversation graph of this conversation.
