I’m not going to argue with you that there were lots of reasons she made this decision. However, I cannot accept that taking this news “at face value” involves not wondering about what this means for the future. I’m sure even you are not sure what she will do. If you are, please let the rest of us out here drooling in cyberspace know because we think “it’s a big mystery,” and are “mystified.”

Please don’t get defensive and try to write off honest interest in what is happening in American politics.

Dude, nobody knows what she will do. I was commenting on what she did. “What she will do” is of course a big mystery — I guess, as she hasn’t, as far as I know, never expressed presidential ambitions in any concrete way. I was commenting on what she did, and the reasons given. I realize that I wasn’t really addressing your post, which was wondering about the future, but sort of shouting into the ether at all of the pundits and media scratching their heads trying to figure out why she resigned, as if she spoke in Aramaic at the press conference and wrote in Sumerian in her press release. So, sorry for the confusion.
