I, for the life of me, cannot get why gays think our president is going to do a damn thing for them. Maybe he will, but really: his DOJ defended the Defense of Marriage Act in court, he could get rid of DODT with the stroke of a pen — hell, at the very least he could move to get government out of the marriage business all together like California is pondering and only recognize civil unions for all. I know he is busy ignoring Iran, playing golf with “Nobody Messes With” Joe “Foreign Policy Expert Who Wanted To Give Iran A Big Fat Check After 9/11” Biden, taking the kids out for ice cream in front of his adoring press, and hosting infomercials on ABC, but getting rid of DADT can’t take up that much time.
