Where’s the, still don’t have a cell phone option?
Yep there’s a few of us that still do not have a cell phone. Never needed one and therefore haven’t picked one up yet. Although I’m sure someday there may come a time when there are no payphones, or people with land lines, or my boss makes me get one. Even then “they” can’t make me turn it on!
I like having the freedom from constant contact and having ol’school fun in the car!!!
I’m not sure what you mean by “ol’school fun” (Philco AM pushbutton radio?), but I don’t have a cell phone either. People shake their heads and inch away slowly when I tell them, but I just can’t justify the cost for the amount of use they get. We had tracfone’s for a while, but they would run out of service before the minutes were up. Even my kids don’t seem to want to use them very much.
We must be throwbacks who are missing a modernity gene somewhere.
The area I live in had very little cell phone service up until recently, so we never got in the habit I guess. About once a month I’m in a situation where it would be_ sort of_ nice if I had a cell phone, but that’s about it; no big deal.
It used to be, “Do you have a cell number?” Now it’s, “What’s your cell? — Oh, really??”
