Heh. Funny that you say that as I just started using it. I do like the idea of breaking the 1:1 relationship for communication. For example, I may be friends with Bob, but I really don’t care about what he’s doing. On Facebook, there’s overhead involved in ignoring people and their blabbing. On Twitter, you just stop following them, and that doesn’t preclude them from following you. In other words, you can control the spam a little more and focus on content you care about.

True … but that’s probably only effective when you have a small group of people you’re tracking on Twitter. As soon as you’re following a larger set, you’ll have the same overhead problem as FB.
