I think it is good to see the President changing his mind about releasing those torture photos.

While transparency, openness and honoring promises are admirable in general, the greater interest of the nation right now is in not inflaming anti-American sentiment while we are in a crisis mode and need as much influence as we can muster.

The photos should be retained as evidence for the prosecutions.

The media claims that this is a “back flip” fail to recognize that our leader must be capable of adjusting his ideals to adapt to current circumstances. This is a strength and not a weakness.

Ever notice that after performing a back flip you are still facing in the same direction?

What bothers me is that when the Bush administration withheld the photos, it was considered a cover up of the most agregious criminal activity. But when Obama comes to the same conclusion and maintains nondisclosure he’s a good guy with soldier interest at heart. BS Flag!!
