Object-Oriented Programming, when implemented properly, allows for inheritance and polymorphism.

Submit your changes against the repository ensuring that the optimizations are off by default. Any OO framework worth its salt should allow itself to be conditionally optimized.

Also, as another poster mentioned, there is Grails.
