The question would be a little clearer if it asked if teachers with valid carry permits should be allowed to carry in school. These folks have already met the requirements to carry a handgun everywhere else and are RESTRICTED from carrying on school property. This wouldn’t be granting special permission, but lifting a restriction put upon people that are otherwise qualified to carry.

That qualification does not mean they are capable of “safely” operating their weapon with proficiency. It only means their background checked out and the’re neither crazy or criminal.
