Crazy right wingers vs crazy left wingers
Aside from the obvious question of "Why does anyone ever listen to Pat Robertson?", I can’t help but notice a disparity in news coverages. Pat Robertson, a right winger, says something vaguely outrageous, it’s ALL over the mainstream news. Cindy Sheehan, however, has said: "They’re not waging a war on terror, but a war of terror. The biggest terrorist is George W. Bush.”
“The only reason Bush wants to stay there is because his buddies are getting rich and feasting off the blood of our children.”
“You tell me my son died to spread the cancer of Pax Americana.”
“America has been killing people on this continent since it was started. This country is not worth dying for.”
“We are waging a nuclear war in Iraq right now. That country . . . will be contaminated for practically eternity now.”
“We have to impeach George Bush down to the person who picks up the dog sh_t in Washington! Let George Bush send his two little party animals to die in Iraq.”
“I certainly didn’t raise my son to be an outstanding citizen of the world to go and die so some people could have ink-stained fingers.”"My first born was murdered… He was killed for lies and for a PNAC Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel."
Now, I don’t know about youse guys, but I don’t think I’ve heard any of those quotes from the National Media. Go fig.

The crazy sensationalism of showing up on Bush’s door step and demanding to speak to him (demanding to speak to the President of the United States!) was only going to last for a few days. To keep up the media’s interest piqued, this horribly disturbed woman spews this sensational verbal vomit, most likely at the prodding of Michael Moore and Howard Dean. All it does is make her even less relevant than she was before.
To get a little closer to the topic at hand…
As long as the NG is getting federal funding in any form, it is subject to the direction of the federal government. Last time I checked, $5.6 billion buys you one hell of a big vote.
The day the CIA sets up a puppet governor in Texas is the day you see another revolution. And there are a lot of relatively angry people down this way that own a lot of guns. Now as for California – maybe a puppet government run by the CIA would be a good thing.
And assassination – it kinda defeats the purpose if you talk about it on the national news before you pull the trigger. And, luckily, Pat Robertson does not dictate national policy, so who cares?

I’m sorry to say this, but it’s not about left wing crazyness against right wing crazyness, and for have a look at it, you must go outside United States. You can see how people of all the world say things like Bush is an assasin, and they have their reasons.
I live in Chile, and we suffered a CIA-backed dictator for 16 years. We lost almost all of our rights fighting the war on Communism (the war that was the war of that era, now it is the war on Terrorism, one day against Eastasia, another against Eurasia… read 1984). People like Orlando Letelier was prosecuted and killed in USA ground with the CIA’s blessing.
So, why would I support an USA invasion to Venezuela, to kill Hugo Chavez and impose another puppet? I’m not cruel. I care about Venezuelans. And that freak called Pat Robertson must shut up and reconsider if he is a Christian, in the very first place. When did you see Jesus to wish someone’s death, for instance, for not being with the Cesar?
