While I do not sodomize animals or those from my own gene pool … I also do not think it is government’s place to say that I cannot. Does that mean I think people should run around pushing sheep through fences? No. But if some farmer is out there lonely and feels the urge to do so – who really cares?

One counter argument to that will be "what if I don’t want to watch my neighbor ramming a sheep in his front yard?" I will counter that with, are you equally displeased with watching him copulate with his wife in the front yard? If so, then you must clearly establish sex with your spouse as illegal, too.

What’s done in the privacy of one’s home regarding this is a personal thing. If religion guides your decision that such behavior is wrong – then more power to you. After all, if your beliefs are true, the sheep-loving farmer will be judged when the time comes, right?

And who in the military hasn’t gotten their own little chuckle out of the UCMJ Article 125 regarding sodomy? There is a prime example of a government rule depicting exactly what one may engage in. So one simply must ask, what is defined as "unnatural" that makes an action sodomy? That definition may very well send the bulk of our high school and college populations to prison. Heck – I’m sure a huge chunk of adults, too.

So, does it really follow that there ought to be a law?

Well well; while I don’t see that any sex should be illegal between two consenting adults – although I think sleeping w/ one’s parent a little sick (especially if that parent is the same sex — humm).

I have never known a sheep to consent – to anything for that matter. What happens between sheep is there own business (not that anyone has any interest in knowing what goes on between sheep); so, yea, why not make human sex w/ animals illegal — protection of animals and all that.

And between consenting high school students… well, that is a grey area. How young do you want to go – consenting 4-year-olds maybe? I guess as lines go we have to draw them somewhere – at least until they have an understanding…..
